Contact
Care Compass England is a small independent educational project providing general information about adult social care in England.
Getting in touch
For general enquiries about the guide or website, email carecompassengland@gmail.com.
We read messages when we can, but response times may vary.
What we cannot help with
Care Compass England cannot act on any of the following. If one of these applies to you, please use the routes below rather than waiting on us.
Emergencies or urgent risk
If someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical help, contact the emergency services or NHS urgent care straight away rather than emailing us.
Safeguarding concerns
If you are worried that an adult is being abused or neglected, report it to the adult safeguarding team at the person's local council. If there is immediate danger, contact the police.
Individual casework
We cannot chase assessments, contact a council on your behalf, review paperwork, or get involved in an ongoing case.
Personalised advice
We cannot give tailored legal, financial, medical or social work advice. For that, speak to your local authority's Adult Social Care team or a suitably qualified professional or advice service.
Where to go instead
Adult social care in England is arranged by local councils. Search for your council's Adult Social Care team on gov.uk/find-local-council to find the right contact details for your area, including out-of-hours and safeguarding routes.
